Art Shelter Festival – Day 1
"No Hay Banda: A Tribute"
A night dedicated to David Lynch
Opening Night | Art Shelter Festival
The festival opened with a night immersed in atmosphere and mystery, inspired by the work of David Lynch.
The evening featured "NO HAY BANDA – A TRIBUTE", a 60-minute documentary by Aris Michalopoulos. The film offers a focused exploration of Lynch’s artistic world—his influences, recurring motifs, and the emotional and psychological undercurrents that define his cinema. Archival footage, layered soundscapes, and personal reflections create a textured portrait of one of the most enigmatic voices in film.
The screening was introduced by Marina Mavrogeni, whose presentation offered key insights into Lynch’s creative language and legacy, creating a framework through which the documentary was experienced.
A quiet, immersive start to the festival—suggestive, strange, and deeply cinematic.

Art Shelter Festival – Day 5
«LOS TRE»
23 MAY FRIDAY | 21:00
LIVE BAND | Duration: 120'
Psychedelic melodies from the East to the Balkans
Angelos Angelidis, Vasilis Papastamopoulos, Leandros Fratnik
Los Tre is an instrumental band that masterfully balances tradition and psychedelia, East and West. Inspired by North African music, Greek folk traditions, and Middle Eastern psychedelia, they create a unique sonic world. Complex rhythms meet grounded bass grooves, the guitar unfolds desert-soaked arabesques drenched in delay, and the drums build a ritualistic foundation.
From the mountains of Epirus to the alleys of Marrakesh, and from the neighborhoods of Athens to European venues, Los Tre have carried their sound throughout Greece and Europe. Their audience dances, smiles, and travels—not with words, but with rhythms and melodies that awaken memories and fantasies.
Replacing words with sounds and formalism with emotion, Los Tre is a band that doesn’t need to say much — because it already says everything through its music.

«How To Make A Mind Sculpture»
Art Shelter Festival – Day 6
24 MAY SATURDAY | 21:00
PERFORMANCE – DANCE | Duration: 35'
Will include talking in English
by Maria Vincentelli & Oli Cox
Close your eyes. Focus your attention on your inner world. Let a detail, an action, or an entire image rise to the surface. Whatever arises is exactly what is meant to arise.
Whether realistic or fantastical, you begin to alchemise your image with additions — objects, audience, actions, environments, adornments — until a fully formed sculptural piece exists in your mind.
Then, return to the beginning. Create a list of installation instructions, so that anyone can reconstruct your sculpture within their own mind.
Two performers enact a series of mind sculptures, embodying the generative space between imagination and presence, and exploring the deep connections of the collective unconscious.
«RIGHT EYE'S TRUTH»
Art Shelter Festival – Day 6
24 MAY SATURDAY | 21:40
PERFORMANCE | Duration: 34'
«RIGHT EYE'S TRUTH»
by Vasia Koutsilianou
The performance revolves around the distortion of reality as shaped by the human mind. The story begins in a haze and ends in a loop. In truth, no one knows exactly how it started or where it ended.
Two people are the same person, existing in the same world and in two different realities at the same time. Irrational, biased thoughts twist their perception of what is real. Phantom-like stimuli mold a new version of truth — the truth of one.
Concept - Choreography: Vasia Koutsilianou \\ Assistant Choreographer: Garyfalia Kontrafouri \\ Performance: Vasia Koutsilianou, Dimitra Filippaki
\\Original Music: Tilemachos Pouliasis \\ Visual Artist: Chara Spathi \\ Trailer: Odd Frame \\ Videos: Thanos Chalkiadakis \\ Photos: Athina Kolovou
