Theme: Comfortable Spine, Neck & Lower Back
A body re-education class aimed at improving the body’s mobility and functionality.
Through the Feldenkrais Method, we re-educate the musculoskeletal organization necessary for functional movement.
The seminar benefits those who suffer from neuromusculoskeletal and chronic pain, as well as those wishing to expand their movement abilities.
Open to all ages and no prior movement experience is required.

What is the Feldenkrais Method?
The Feldenkrais Method, developed by Israeli physicist Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais, is a system of physical re-education that improves movement by focusing on the interaction between the nervous system and the musculoskeletal system. It promotes ergonomic, efficient movement patterns that enhance daily life—whether walking, sitting, or engaging in demanding activities.
Using gentle, structured movement, the method increases range of motion and functionality. It's particularly beneficial for individuals with chronic pain or mobility issues, but also for those looking to optimize their movement potential.
Class Formats:
A. Group Classes – ATM (Awareness Through Movement)
In group sessions, students follow verbally guided sequences of simple, slow movements. Emphasis is placed on ease, comfort, and muscular relaxation. These explorations help replace dysfunctional patterns with new, conscious movement habits, enhancing posture, coordination, and ease of motion.
Each class lasts about an hour and is focused on a specific functional theme (e.g., spine rotation, bending, extension). Movements are mostly done lying on the floor (on the back, side, or front).
B. Individual Sessions – FI (Functional Integration)
These one-on-one sessions are tailored to each person's needs and take place on a specialized table. The practitioner uses precise, gentle touch to explore movement habits and introduce more efficient patterns. The body integrates these changes, even without active participation.
Even one session can reveal new ways of moving, reducing strain and discomfort.
Benefits:
Improves posture and movement
Identifies and replaces harmful movement habits
Reduces pain in the back, neck, shoulders, knees, etc.
Aids injury recovery and helps prevent future injuries
Enhances coordination, balance, and breathing
Revives forgotten or limited body movements
Promotes deep relaxation and well-being
Teaches stress management through body awareness
Helps individuals discover new capabilities through movement
Who is it for?
The method is suitable for all ages, especially:
People with chronic neuromuscular or skeletal pain
Pregnant women
Individuals seeking improved movement and daily function
Musicians, actors, athletes, and dancers looking to expand their skills and creativity
Older adults aiming to maintain or regain mobility with less effort and pain
What to bring: A yoga mat, warm comfortable clothing, socks, a small blanket, and a pillow.
