Vagelis Pitsilos was born and raised in Aegina. He is a graduate of the Agia Varvara Drama School (Iakovos Kampanellis) and works as a choreographer and movement coach on various stages in Athens. He has collaborated with the National Theatre of Greece on the summer production of Hippolytus by Euripides, directed by Lydia Koniordou, and at the Badminton Theatre in The Song of the Dead Brother, directed by Thanasis Papageorgiou.
He also participated in the Athens Festival in Pope Joan by Dimitris Mavrikios, worked with the Experimental Stageof the National Theatre, and served as a choreographer-actor in children’s productions at theatres such as Chytirio, 104, Anesis, and the Athens Concert Hall (Megaron). He attended a contemporary dance seminar in Amsterdam with Keren Levi, and performed in the musicals Mamma Mia and Matilda at Akropol Theatre. He also created a performance titled Seven in Edinburgh, inspired by the seven deadly sins.
He has worked as choreographer for Vladimiros Kyriakidis and teaches Latin, Tango, and Modern Jazz in dance schools in Athens, as well as improvisation, movement, and acting for actors and adults.
